Junior Process Engineer

Office-based, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with Intermediate/Senior Engineers to develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications for oil and gas facilities.
Work with the team to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing safety in oil and gas processes.
Utilize process simulation software (such as Symmetry, HYSYS or similar) to model and analyse process performance under different operating conditions.
Support troubleshooting efforts for process-related issues in operating facilities and assist in implementing corrective actions.
Maintain accurate documentation of engineering designs, calculations, and analyses. Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations as required.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations governing oil and gas operations.
Prepare process calculations under the supervision of Senior Process Engineers.
Provide support to project teams during the execution of engineering projects, including procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
Participate in process safety reviews, hazard assessments, and environmental impact assessments to ensure safe and environmentally responsible operations.
Stay updated with latest developments in process engineering.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 1 year of relevant engineering experience.
Chemical Engineering degree with eligibility for membership with APEGA.
Familiarity with aspects of process design software such as Symmetry, HYSYS and ProMax.
Possess a strong attention to detail and work well within a team environment.
